This coffee from the Carmo de Minas region, South Minas Gerais, was grown at altitudes ranging from 1000-1300 masl. The cherries are carefully picked when they are fully ripe, and then sorted using a density sorter called "lavador" to ensure the low-density beans are separated, which makes roasting easier and more consistent. The beans are then sun-dried on patios for three days before being finished in mechanical dryers to achieve the optimal moisture level.

The Missing Bean

Oxford

The Missing Bean was founded by Ori and Vicky in 2009 to establish a speciality coffee scene in the heart of Oxford. After discovering the laid back espresso bars and cafés that they had grown to love while studying in Australia were non-existent in the city, they decided to set up their own.

Five years later, with a reputation for excellent coffee, sustainable production and a friendly relaxed atmosphere, we set up our own artisan coffee roastery in East Oxford. Here we carefully source the best coffee beans from around the world that we roast and sell as single origin coffee or in a variety of blends.

Today, we are proud to be part of Oxford’s ever-growing coffee scene and thankful to the hardworking people of Oxford who support us at our Turl Street HQ, the Roastery and from our pop up cafés across the city.
